1/ Reflect - how did it land for you? What did it evoke? How did you feel?

2/ Revisit - read it again when you feel drawn, then journal - feelings, thoughts, messages. You could turn it into a semi-regular practice (e.g. weekly) to tune in and receive its wisdom. If there is a resistance to revisit, that's also ok - gently ask why.

3/ Listen - record your own voice reading it out, then listen back. There is something very sacred and powerful in listening to your own voice. You might uncover more.

4/ Trust - trust your intuition always. I write in the opening of the reading, the messages that come through are 'for this season of life' - again, so very unique to an individual's experience and circumstance.

Yes it is!

When I open the Records, there's almost always a big flushing of messages that flow through immediately - not dissimilar to a 'first flush' on a rainwater tank before I even open your email.

If I receive questions, the reading typically goes:

+ Opening message

+ Questions/answer

+ Closing message/keywords

I have also read without questions.

With or without specific questions, as I transcribe what I hear and feel while in your Records, I often also hear future questions / counter questions raised so I roll with that and answer them accordingly.

Questions can serve as a useful guide for the client and can be quite transformative and clarifying in itself in contemplating its formulation. But to answer the question, no, we don't *need* questions.

When I'm in the Records, it's like a waterfall of information / words crashing down and I'm just the translater / messenger typing profusely to keep up (upwards of 2000 words in an hour).

There's no time to second guess, think or cognitivelly process or formulate. Some questions can be as simple as 'can you tell me about X?' And I hear the answer. Not consciously knowing anything about both the client and said person, circumstance or situation X.

Also - the language is often different to how I write / speak. I am someone who journals A LOT. So I am very very familiar with my own stream of consciousness style and voice. This is totally different.

There've been occasions where I don't even know the spelling / meaning of words (which I go look up after).

Oh!! And they rhyme!! A lot!! Messages sometimes come through super, super poetic.

Automatic writing as I experience it - wordflow that feels free from thinking, free from doubt, without interception from the active, analytical, logical mind. There's an element of involuntary-ness.

It's like turning on the tap and water flows; we eat or drink water and peristalsis in the oesophagus occurs automatically, involuntarily - no thinking, no consideration.

My first experience of automatic writing in this way in the Records -

The very first reading I did after I opened the client's Records all this information just came flooding in. I saw scenes from the past for this person, I heard messages, I felt sensations in my body. And so out poured the words, no filter.

That was a significant moment as it laid the foundation from that point onward.

My first experinece of automatic writing outside of the Records -

At a guess it could've been over a decade ago, maybe more. I have always written in many forms since I was 10 (I turn 36 this June) and kept many blogs in my teenage/early 20's. Interwoven amongst narrative style writing were these super profound, powerful phrases, paragraphs and phrasing, that, when I read back on them now, it totally did not feel like me, my words or my writing.

One instance in the recent past (2016?) was when I was overlooking the ocean at sunset and a whole poem flowed through me onto the Notes app on my phone. My phone was on flight mode at the time.

Out came this phrase -

'mother ocean beating her waves

on rocks of anchor from which she so readily gave

continuous in repeated cycle

grand and full of strength like a black knight's buckle'

What I didn't know was (after retracing timezones in hindsight), approximately three hours later, New Zealand experienced a massive earthquake in Kaikora measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. When I learnt this news, I received full body chills. Coincidence.......or connection?

The answer is ANYTIME! Anytime you feel pulled towards it through your own instinct or curiosity. Trust your timing and inner voice always.

If you are drawn to receiving a reading on a special date / date or for a particular event (e.g. anniversary, birthday, milestone), that could be quite special.

Or - you can also ask about an event (past / upcoming) in the reading to receive any messages for the moment. Remember everything is always on time and in time. No need to overthink.
